December 13, 2011: The agreement between CPPF and CA State Parks is now official! Coe Park will remain open, at least until 2015. Also, check out the article on the Coe Everest Challenge in the newest issue (#14) of the awesome XXCMag.com (an endurance racing magazine).
October 6, 2011: Five attempted the challenge, non completed. However, three riders completed the 100 mile course. It was an amazing and great day (+night), even though the challenge was not met; details, recaps, photos, stories are here.
September 25, 2011: More info on trail and other conditions out there can be found on the Hard COEre 100 site. Our plan is to first ride this 100 mile course, then do two additional loops of about 4k ft of climbing out of Hunting Hollow. We have a route idea for these loops but since it is (highly) subject to change on the spot, it will not be announced here. Cellphone reception is intermittent in Henry Coe park, but we plan to use this Twitter account or the Facebook page to send updates during the event, if possible.
September 3, 2011: The Everest Challenge is on. Time and place: 2011/10/1, 6am, Hunting Hollow.
